the photo shoot

Any one with children know how 'fun' photo shoots can be, but there are FIVE of them! A tired 1 year old, a busy toddler and three big kids fighting with each other make for a FUN time! Not to mention the family that came in after us brought a big train set to have in the pictures with their kids, so Shorty wanted nothing to do with coming into the studio to pose for pix! Thanks, Lester Family!

I must say, I was so proud of the big kids for doing so well. their pix turned out WONDERFUL and they helped so much with the short ones. Those wee ones, however had other ideas. Shorty liked the cool mini couch they had as a prop and wanted to just sit there, Pumpkin Pie wanted to explore so she was all over the place. Honestly, the best way to get her NOT to go anywhere was to stand her up. She hadn't taken any steps so she was sort of stuck there. That was easier than we thought it would be. Getting her to SIT still was another thing altogether. We just had to catch those rare seconds where her eye would catch the photographer and thankfully, she was ready for those moments. Trying to get pix of BOTH wee ones together, though, was not pretty. Those were a little nuts and didn't actually get a great one, but one that would 'do'.

The group shot of ALL the kids was not as hard as it has been in the past, but still never easy. Was so thankful that most of the attempts, the big kids were smiling and ready when the little ones finally got it right. They were so patient with their tiny siblings. So glad they love them so much! All in all, it was a good experience and I don't have nightmares about it. I am just glad we only do that once a year! So, hope you enjoy the results of the crazy time.....
